Martín Berdugo Rosado is a rosé wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero produced by the Martín Berdugo winery. This wine is made using only Tempranillo grapes.
The grapes used for Martín Berdugo Rosado come from the wineries own vineyards. These are located at around 800 metres above sea level and span over 104 hectares. The vineyards must deal with the extreme weather conditions for which the Ribera del Duero region is known for.
The vines are grown with the objective of a low yield, thereby causing each fruit to have a higher concentration and quality. The harvest is carried out manually and is done after a careful selection of the vines. There is a small distance between the vineyard and the winery, which means once pick there is only a short journey before the vinification process can be carried out.
At the winery, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Upon reaching the site, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature using yeasts which occur naturally in the grapes. These yeasts ensure that each wine has its own character and individuality.
