Luis Pato Colheita Seleccionada Tinto is a young red wine made by the Luis Pato Portuguese winery in Beiras (Portugal) with the Touriga Nacional and Baga native varieties.

This family winery in Quinta de Ribeirinho has been cultivating vineyards for more than 200 years, but it wasn’t until 1970 when Joao Pato began to make his own wines. A generation later, Luis Pato put the Bairrada region on the world winemaking map with his powerful, fresh wines with their own personality.

Luis Pato Colheita Seleccionada Tinto comes from the blend of two of the most Portugal’s most popular varieties; Touriga Nacional and Baga. The cold and humid climate and the strong influence of the sea create grapes with great acidity and a low alcohol content. These grapes are cultivated using environmentally-friendly agriculture and are harvested by hand when they reach optimum ripeness.

When they reach the winery, the best grapes are meticulously selected on the selection table and destemmed. Luis Pato Colheita Seleccionada Tinto is traditionally made in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. 

Luis Pato Colheita Seleccionada Tinto 2016 is a coupage where the rusticity of the Baga variety is complemented by the elegance of the Touriga Nacional. A balanced red wine.
