Characteristics of Luis Cañas Tinto Joven

Luis Cañas Tinto Joven is a red wine from La Rioja produced by the Luis Cañas winery. This is a varietal Tempranillo, the grape of excellence in the area.

For the production of Luis Cañas Tinto Joven, clusters are selected directly in the vineyard. These are stemmed without crushing and then decanted.

In the tank, the carbonic maceration process takes place, whereby grapes on top squeeze those which are located underneath using gravity. This process lasts twelve days. Subsequently several pumpings are performed in order to define the final colour, the process finishes with a yeast fermentation.

After racking, Luis Cañas Tinto Joven is clarified and gently filtered before being marketed. The Luis Cañas winery assumes that the best wines can only be obtained from the best grapes. The challenge is to create a perfect wine.

Tasting notes Luis Cañas Tinto Joven

Sight Violet colour with garnet hues. Nose Primary aromas of ripe red fruit notes and floral touches. Taste Soft and gentle, fruity and with a soft acidity. It is a wine with body and a lingering finish. Final aftertaste has hints of liquorice.
