Lo Virol Rosat is a rosé wine from the Costers del Segre produced by Celler Cercavins. It is composed of only Syrah grapes.
The vineyards of the winery grow on clay soils that grow at an altitude that allow for excellent maturation.
Lo Virol Rosat begins the vinification process with a soft pressing of the must and later static racking which lasts for about a day at a constant temperature of 13°. The must is then fermented for between 14-18 days at 14°.
Lo Virol Rosat is then clarified and stabilised before being bottled and marketed.
The winery was founded in 2003 after 3 friends bought 50 hectares of vineyards in Verdú, Lleida.
