Le Coste Pizzicante Rosso is a sparkling wine made following the ancestral method. It is a coupage of Sangiovese and Merlot. It is a wine from the Italian region of Lazio and is produced by the Le Coste winery.
Le Coste is a winery founded in 2004 that is located next to the Lago di Bolsena. It practices an agriculture that is eco-compatible with the nature and the surrounding landscape. and produces natural wines without commitment to the logic of market, striving to enhance a magnificent territory with a remarkable agricultural potential. It currently farms 6.5 hectares of vineyards, part of which it owns and part rented, which it cultivates following the principles of biodynamics but without having it certified.
Le Coste Pizzicante Rosso is a natural sparkling red wine made following the ancestral method. The wine is bottled when it is still fermenting, and contains residual sugars causing the fermentation to be completed in the bottle. The wine’s carbonic bubble, present in the medium, is a product of this process. The wine has been bottled without filtering or clarifying, and sulphites have not been added at any point in the manufacturing process.
