Características de Lapola
Lapola is a white wine from Ribeira Sacra by Dominio Do Bibei.
A coupage between Godello (75 percent), Albariño (20 percent) and Doña Blanca (5 percent). The grapes come from vines between seven and 100 years old, located at between 400 and 750 metres above sea level.
A manual harvest takes place in 10kg boxes. The wine settles for 24 hours and the varieties are produced separately. Fermentation is slow, between 12º and 17ºC.
The wine is later aged for eight months in French oak, 600-litre capacity barrels and Austrian foudres of 1,200 litres.
Serve at 10ºC

SightAttractive pale yellow colour with golden reflections. Very bright wine with unctuous tears.NoseComplex and intense wine, with notes of ripe fruit mixed with honeyed, sweetish hints and a refreshing touch of citrus. When it opens up, the buttery aromas of pastries and subtle, elegant wooden notes provided during the ageing are noticed. TasteFresh, very large and bulky attack. Sweet, nice and meaty wine with a very good mid palate and creamy texture. Citrus notes become stronger in the mouth. The DO Ribeira Sacra is a region that perhaps paints one of the best pictures of heroic viticulture, having even been awarded recognition by CERVIM, the awarding body for this style of viticulture. The term ‘heroic viticulture’ refers to viticulture in areas that have a topography and soil conditions that complicate the work in the vineyards and make cultivating the vines and harvest a challenge. The region is home to an Atlantic climate, rivers as thermoregulatory agents, low rainfall, slate-schistose and granite soils, small sized plots and vineyards grown on steep slopes. The result is excellent wines with great personalities that truly express the dramatic and exciting nature of the landscape.
