La Vinya del Boter is a young red wine made by Amor Per La Terra in Empordà (Catalonia) with the Monastrell, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Parellada varieties.
Xavi Rutia, Salvador Batlle and Jaume Jordà are the founders of Amor Per La Terra, a wine project set up in 2019 with the aim of promoting producers who respect the terroir using ecological and biodynamic practices. To do this, they collaborate with winegrowers in areas like Alt Empordà, Penedès and Alt Camp and produce natural wines with minimal intervention and maximum respect.
La Vinya del Boter starts life in the town of Rodonyá (Tarragona) with Salvador Batlle Sendra. These vineyards with calcareous soils are cultivated according to organic principles and without using any chemical products that could damage the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Winemaking takes place in the winery with minimal intervention. The different varieties of grapes used to make La Vinya del Boter macerate together and fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts. The wine is finally bottled without filtering or clarifying.
La Vinya del Boter is a natural red wine that is somewhere between an intense rosé and a light red. A juicy wine that awakens a love for the land.
