Characteristics of Jose Maria
Jose-Maria 2011 is a blend of Tempranillo made by Laureano Serres, pioneer in the elaboration of natural wines.
In its elaboration, this wine goes through a short maceration, moderate punching of the cap and an alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 15 days. It goes through an ageing for seven months in steel vats and used oak barrels. It is bottled without being previously filtered or stabilized and, of course, with no sulphurous added.

Wines from Terra Alta boast a unique character. This is down to numerous factors, including the region's unique wine culture, the location of the vineyards in the inland Mediterranean, and the abundance of native varieties including the Garnacha Blanca, whose white wines perhaps best express the unique character of the terroir. It is for this reason that these wines hold their own distinctive classification of “Terra Alta Garnacha Blanca”.
