Jean-Claude Lapalu 3 Lands is a natural red wine made with the Syrah, Gamay and Mondeuse varieties under the Vin de France denomination in the Burgundy region by Matthieu Barret, Dominique Belluard and Jean Claude Lapalu.
The reason Jean-Claude Lapalu 3 Lands does not have a specific designation of origin is because it is a blend made from three great Burgundy terroirs. It is made by three great winemakers, each of them bringing their variety at its best. Matthieu Barret grows the Syrah variety in the town of Cornas, Dominique Belluard brings his Gamay from Ayse and Jean Claude Lapalu is responsible for getting the best expression of Mondeuse in Brouilly.
To take full advantage of the terroir, the three winemakers use simple methods and no machinery in the vineyards. This is very respectful manual agriculture carried out using ecological and biodynamic practices. Likewise, in the winery, Jean-Claude Lapalu 3 Lands is spontaneously vinified with native yeasts and with minimal intervention. It then ages in cement eggs. Perfect cleanliness is essential to make this natural cuveé that is not filtered and has no added sulphites.
Jean-Claude Lapalu 3 Lands is a natural cuvée red wine, made from the fruits of three winemakers who are committed to achieving the most natural expression of their three great Burgundy terroirs.
