Characteristics of J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse
J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine made by Domaine J.J. Confuron in the A.O.C Bourgogne in Burgundy, France.
The grapes used to make the J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse come from plots with clayey-calcareous and silty soils. When they reach the winery, they are carefully selected, destemmed and pressed to begin alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The resulting wine ages in barrels for 15 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.
Alain Meunier and Sophie Confuron understand that good wines are born in the vineyard, so they cultivate the eight hectares they inherited from Jean Jacques Confuron, Sophie’s father, using only natural products. Some plots are even worked with horse ploughs to encourage aeration and micro-oxygenation in the soil. All of this allows them to produce honest wines that perfectly link the terroir, nature and the vine, like this J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse, which is the perfect introduction to classic Burgundy wines.
J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse 2017 is a red wine with concentrated aromas of black cherry and liquorice on the nose. On the palate it is smooth with silky tannins and a subtle touch of wood. A tasty and fruity red wine.

1+1=3 (U Més U Fan Tres), began its commercial activity more than ten years ago, although the founders of this winery already worked in the world of wine since much earlier. As for the name 1+1=3, it has its origin in the sum of different synergies: the passion for work well done in the vineyard and in the winemaking of oenologist Josep Piñol. Josep Anton Bonell’s love for this precious fruit that the region of Penedés gives us — he coordinates ageing, bottling and preparation of the products— together with Carles Esteve, a prestigious Garraf winemaker, have led their wines and cavas to be recognised and marketed in the USA, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Finland, Italy, as well as in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore... This year, the winery’s products are also increasingly appreciated in Catalonia, and in other parts of Spain. The energies transmitted to us by Carles, Josep and Josep Anton lead the 1+1=3 team to continue working together with their clients, who are at the same time the ambassadors of their products.
