Humus PN Rosé is a natural and ecological sparkling wine made with the Touriga Nacional variety in Lisbon by Encosta da Quinta.
Rodrigo Filipe is a self-taught winemaker who, after leaving his job as an engineer, took over the Encosta da Quinta family estate, in Alvorninha (Lisbon) and began cultivating the native varieties using organic farming and natural winemaking. As a result, he produces earthy, Atlantic, light and fresh wines.
Humus PN Rosé comes from vineyards lying 20 km from the Atlantic, planted in clay-calcareous soils and cultivated organically. Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sierra dos Candeerios, in the Óbidos region (Lisbon), this area enjoys a unique microclimate that gives the wine a very original character.
In the winery, Humus PN Rosé ferments in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts and it is bottled before fermentation ends. A second fermentation begins in the bottle, where it remains on its lees until disgorging.
Humus PN Rosé is a natural sparkling wine with all the energy and authenticity wines made by Rodrigo Filipe, a self-taught winemaker who ignores the latest trends and makes highly sought-after wines.
