Characteristics of Huguet Gran Reserva Brut Nature

Huguet Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a cava from the D.O. Cava made by Can Feixes.
This cava has been made exclusively with grapes from the winery's vines in the Penedès Superior in the estate "Can Feixes". It's a blend of 56% Parellada, 23% Macabeo and 21% Pinot Noir.
The harvest is carried out by hand and the grape bunches are selected on the vine and the sorting table. The first "flower must" is obtained by directly pressing the whole grape in a pneumatic press. The grape must is clarified by a static decantation. The fermenting of the clean must at a controlled temperature takes place in stainless steel deposits.
Lastly, this cava is aged for 6 months in deposits and for a minimum of 30 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes Huguet Gran Reserva Brut Nature

Sight A pale yellow colour. Intense bubbles when pouring. Nose Aromas of fresh citrus fruit with touches of ripe white fruit, fresh mellow yeasts, mountain herbs, smooth balsamic notes and a very refreshing background. Taste On the palate this wine is fresh, exuding citrus fruit once the bubbles have settled. Fine bitter notes and medium persistence. A medium-length finish with a citrus aftertaste.
Sight Straw color, very fine bubbles. Nose Fresh aromas, herbaceous, with some pear and green fruits. Taste It is very dry, while that is fresh, lively, even a little fruity. Tastes very tightly coupled parenting. It grows quickly, and leave the yeast and more mature fruit.

Winery Huguet de Can Feixes

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
