Characteristics of Honoro Vera Monastrell
Honoro Vera Monastrell is a red wine made by Bodegas Juan Gil in the Jumilla.
It is a varietal made from Monastrell, a variety which reigns in Jumilla. The grapes come from vineyards planted on limestone, with lots of rocks. They are nutrient-poor soils, resulting in wine with a great fruit concentration and aromatic intensity. Fermentation takes place for 15 days at a controlled of below 25 ° C. Once fermentation is completed, the Monastrell is refrigerated until bottling. A Jumilla is a wine with character, expression and very fruity aromas.

The vineyards of Jumilla are spread over the municipality of Jumilla, in Murcia, and six counties in the southeast of the province of Albacete: Ontur, Tobarra, Albatana, Hellin, Montealegre and Fuente Alamo. The main variety of the area is the Monastrell grape variety, a noble and robust variety which produces small bunches of small dark-coloured grapes very rich in sugars and other noble components.
