Characteristics of Heredad de Tejada Tempranillo
Heredad de Tejada Tempranillo is a wine from La Rioja produced by Bodega Classica, owned by the Vintae Group. This is a varietal Tempranillo, the most typical variety of the area.
The grapes are harvested from vineyards over fifty years old located in the Sonsierra, the most common winemaking area in this region.
The harvest, which is done manually, is completed between the second and third week of October and the grapes are transported in boxes and small trailers.
Once in the winery, the grapes ferment first at 28 degrees and then undergo a short maceration with the skins. The wine finally undergoes a short aging that lasts about three or four months in French and American oak.
Bodega Classica is designed strategically. It is located on top of a hill, which allows natural air conditioning. Moreover, the deposits have large mouths, meaning that the wine making process is as it was formerly.
Vintae was established to create innovative wines and currently works in twelve different regions in Spain. It works with over 50 professionals who share their passion for the wine world, guided by creativity and dynamism.
