Gramona Imperial Gran Reserva Brut is a cava produced by the winery Gramona in the D.O Cava. The winery is located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona).

Gramona Imperial Gran Reserva Brut is produced from the varieties Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Chardonnay.

For production, the tradition "champenoise" method is used, as is the case with most sparkling Catalan wines. Furthermore, the cava is aged for 3-4 years.

Tasting notes Gramona Imperial Gran Reserva Brut

Sight Clean yellow and golden reflection. Vibrant, expressive and bright. Nose Good aromatic intensity. Predominance of white and citric fruit with spicy and toasted undertones. Taste Intense and fresh. Very good texture, and is very creamy, enveloping and memories of white fruit. Balanced and persistent.
Sight Clean and very bright straw yellow colour with golden reflections and fine and elegant bubbles. Nose Its nasal aromas show plenty of well defined nuances: white fruit, citrus, bakery, nuts, soft spices, notes reminiscent of yeast and fine toasted hints. Intense, expressive and tasty nose. Taste On the palate, this is a fresh, balanced, expressive and persistent cava. It is complex and intense. Marvellous!

Winery Gramona

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
