Gramona Celler Batlle is a cava produced in years in which excellent vintages of Xarel·lo (70%) and Macabeo (30%) grapes are obtained. Cava characterised by a careful selection and production. It is produced by using excellent wines as basis. Finally, this cava is left to stand on its lees for more than 8 years in bottles with cork. A reference among the sparkling wines around the world.

Tasting notes Gramona Celler Batlle

Sight Attractive bright yellow colour with golden reflections. Its thin bubbles form a thin and delicate crown on the surface. Nose Impressive aromatic expression, where the white fruit and the herbaceous notes are mixed together with the ageing notes: pine, holm oak moss, vanilla, puff pastry, dried fruit, toffee, praline, dried apricots… Taste A very expressive dry cava, with a great, tasty and delicate attack. Creamy and unctuous texture. Its ageing is reflected by the great background freshness that will surprise us in a cava of this age. Perfectly well-integrated carbonic acid gas. Excellent acidity. Long aftertaste with fruity reminiscences. One of the most elegant, serious and tasty cavas.
Sight Attractive bright yellow colour with golden reflections. Its thin bubbles form a thin and delicate crown on the surface. Nose Impressive expression of aromas with notes of white fruit and herbal hints which are released along with notes provided during the ageing: nuts, very creamy notes of bakery, hints of vanilla and toffee notes. Its serious and very fresh background provides it with a striking contrast between the freshness and the ripeness of this great cava. Taste A real pleasure! A dry, very expressive cava, with a great, very tasty and delicate attack and a creamy and unctuous texture. Its maturity is very clearly reflected in the freshness noticed in its background which is quite amazing in such an aged cava. It has a perfectly integrated fizziness and excellent acidity. A serious, tasty and one of the finest cavas.
Sight Straw yellow with golden reflections again. Nose With their maturity and excellent freshness as well, reminiscent of white fruits, notes of aromatic herbs, pine, holm oak moss, vanilla, pastry sheet, English cream, nuts, tofee, praliné, dried by Apricot ... Taste Very good mouth opening. Small bubble, which in turn lets us enjoy the glyceric texture that immerses us a feeling of pleasure. Expressive retronasal that confirms the maturity and long aging seen in the nose with a whisper of mineral notes. Long aftertaste with fruity memories.

Winery Gramona

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
