Characteristics of Garnacha by Artazu Tinto
Garnacha by Artazu Tinto is a red wine from the D.O Navarra. Produced by Bodegas and Viñedos Artazu, belonging to Artadi. The wine is made from a monovarietal grape, Garnacha Tinta.
Artadi intends to use this series Garnacha by Artazu to produce wines exclusively from the varietal the most typically found in the region of Navarra, la Garnacha.
The grape derives from the vineyards that are more than 60 years old that have been cultivated in the towns of Artazu.
The vines grow at an altitude of more than 480 meters, the soil is alluvial and subsoil is calcareous.
Juan Carlos López de Lacalle began, in 1996 the project of Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu. The objective was to recover vineyards of a high quality in the historical location of Artazu that had been previously forgotten.
