Characteristics of Font de la Figuera
Another great, tasty and fresh wine from Clos Figueras, made of a blend similar to the blend of its eldest brother, the wine Clos Figueras. The grapes are manually harvested and undergo a selection in selection table when they arrive to the winery. They undergo a gentle winemaking process in 25hl vats with a daily cap punching. After two-week maceration, the wine is aged in 500l second year French oak barrels. Finally, it undergoes a light filtration before bottling.
It can be drunk now or aged for 10 years approximately.

Priorat is craftsmanship and tradition, old and robust vines that are grown and born deep inside the province of Tarragona. They are grown on slopes that are sleety with low fertility and difficult to grow in. In Priorat they produce great red wines of an excellent quality, a maroon colour, robust, dense and rich flavour, intense aromas and sometimes there are reflections present of minerals from the soils.
Clos Figueras has its origins in 1997 when brothers Cannan purchased around 17 hectares. from old vines Grenache and Carignan in the area Gratallops. This extension is cultivated by the team of Rene Barbier and then planted new vineyards of Carignan, Grenache, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, viognier and mourvedere.
