The winery is located in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid).

Emilio Moro Finca Resalso is a varietal Tinta del País (Tempranillo). The grapes come from selected strains of between 5 and 15 years old from Resalso Finca, a vineyard planted in 1932, the year in which Emilio Moro was born.

Tasting notes Finca Resalso

Finca Resalso 2017 is a juicy, fruity and somewhat spicy wine. The few months in spends in barrels give this wine a small toasted touch that so many love. A wine desired year after year for its versatility. A good price for pleasure.
After a dry winter, spring came loaded with rain. Thankfully, this water was stored, since it was much needed during the extremely dry summer. The low temperatures during spring delayed the sprouting of the vines, which led the growth cycle to start with delay. However, this delay was offset thanks to the high temperatures recorded in July and August, to the point of delaying ripening in those younger vineyards. The 2016 vintage beat the production record of the 2014 vintage. And not only in production, but also in quality due to the excellent weather conditions and the excellent health of the vineyards. The wines from this vintage offer a lot of volume, with a good capacity to face the passing of time, with roundness and spectacular tannins. A harvest reminiscent of those of the late 80s and early 90s.
The 2015 vintage started with a winter that had good groundwater reserves. The spring was warm and dry until well into the month of June, when there were intense rainfall at the beginning of the blooming. A summer with some well spread out storms gave way to a very dry autumn. The harvest was slightly ahead of the usual dates, but the analytical and organoleptic features, and the balance of the berries, were ideal. Thus enabled the harvest to take place at the optimal ripening time. The wines from this vintage, which was classified as excellent, have a good colour intensity, significant fruity notes on the nose and a high tannic potential in the mouth, with sweet tannins that indicate the good phenolic ripening of the berries. A vintage reminiscent of the exceptional 2005 vintage.
Sight Very intense cherry red with violet edges. Nose Medium-high intensity, with aromas of ripe black fruit and spicy lactic flavours. Toasty notes and hints of cocoa and vanilla. Taste Full-bodied, sweet and silky. Good acidity with well integrated tannins. Fruity finish with toasted touches.
Sight A very intense cherry red with purple trim Nose Black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries mixed with pleasant aromas of dairy and strawberry yogurt. Wooden notes with light cocoa and vanilla aromas. Taste Tannins are well-structured and balanced acidity, with a long and warm aftertaste.
Sight Very intense cherry red colour with violet edges. Nose An extraordinary nose. Black fruits like blackberries and blackcurrants mix with lactic aromas of strawberry yogurt.
Its short ageing in wood is shown by the light aromas of cocoa and vanilla.
Taste Well-structured tannins and a balanced acidity. A long, warming aftertaste.
After a predictable winter, the weather changed in spring. Temperatures were higher than normal, which caused an early start of the grapes’ ripening cycle. The normal course of the climate at the end of spring and at the beginning of the summer, allowed the vines to recover their usual pace, and the veraison took place on the expected dates. The beginning of the harvest was slightly early due to the strong heat the grapes suffered during their ripening. However, the nice weather throughout the harvest, without rain or frost, provided grapes with an impeccable health. Wines from the 2011 vintage have a slightly higher alcohol strength than usual, with a perfect balance thanks to their natural acidity, concentration of colour and phenolic richness. For all these reasons, this vintage has been classified as excellent, offering high-quality young wines, and wines with the ideal features for their ageing.
Sight Intense cherry colour with subtle blue highlights. Clean and bright wine with thin tears. Nose The aromas of red berries dominate the nose on a floral background with notes of new wood and light balsamic aromas.
Taste Good attack and a very tasty and fresh mid palate. Medium bodied wine, with a high presence of expressive notes of fruit. It shows a balanced acidity, good tannins and a long finish. A very nice wine perfect to be shared at a good meal with friends.
Sight Intense red colour with good robe and blue trims that evidence its youth.
Nose Predominance of aromas of red berries on a floral background with hints of new wood and mild balsamic.
Taste Structured and balanced in the palate, with a warm and friendly mid palate. Long and pleasant aftertaste.
Sight It has a cherry red color of good intensity and a thin blue intrinsic dominated his youth. Nose Aromas clear, frank, with a predominance of red fruit, blackberry and mulberry. A very subtle background of wood and earthy-mineral. Taste In the mouth has structure and balance with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

Harvest after harvest, Emilio Moro has found his own and precise identity in the production of the traditional reds of Ribera del Duero, with a modern touch. These wines are full of colour, highly expressive, virile and eager to live. They rely on the caste and nobility of the family clone Tinto Fino, the strength of the terroir, the selection of wood and a well-interpreted modern oenology. The younger red wines have a good body, without lacking in flavour and balance. The game between time and wood suggests more complex wines, more penetrating, and at the same time more velvety. This is particularly portrayed in their single-vineyard wines.
