Tasting notes Faunus

Faunus 2016 is a meaty, expressive and juicy red wine. This vintage stands out for its balance on the nose between ripeness and freshness. Aromas of ripe red fruit with floral notes and light toasting. On the palate it is sweet, intense and very lingering.
Sight Dark cherry colour with bluish reflections. Bright wine of medium robe. Dense slow-falling tear. Nose In the nose, it is a very expressive and well-balance wine. Intense and concentrated aromas. Varietal aromas, with many ripe black fruits, spiced notes, undergrowth reminiscences and pleasant toasted touches. Taste In the mouth, it is a well-structured, powerful and fleshy wine. Its high load of fruit provides a tasty and long mid-palate. Great acidity and pleasant tannic sensation at the aftertaste. Long finish with fruity and smoked nuances at the retro-olfaction.

Production area D.O. Montsant

Winery Ediciones I-Limitadas

Montsant is situated in the province of Tarragona, surrounding the DOQ Priorat. Although a young Denominación de Origen, Monstant is located in a land with a large history in winemaking. The wines, mostly reds, are typically made with Grenache and Carignan grapes and are authentic, wild and artisanal. Wines produced in this region are usually extremely good value given the high quality.
