Espelt Moscatell 15/5 is a natural sweet wine of the Muscat of Alexandria variety produced by Espelt.
Espelt is a family winery that began life in 2000 in the Empordà town of Vilajuïga (in Girona) and is known for its privileged location between the sea and the mountains. Managed by the biologist and oenologist Anna Espelt, the third generation is working to recover native varieties that were lost with the phylloxera disease, and to produce wines with a truly Mediterranean character.
Espelt Moscatell 15/5 is produced from the vineyards in front of the winery. Disease-resistant strains planted in clay-loam and granitic soil and which, swept by the Tramontana (a powerful wind), benefit from the influence of the sun and the sea. The production yield is low to encourage concentration.
In the cellar a characteristic cold maceration is carried out for 6 hours. Espelt Moscatell 15/5 is fermented with natural yeasts and topped up to 15ºC. The ageing is undergone in stainless steel tanks.
Espelt Moscatell 15/5 is a sweet wine with high alcohol level, ideal for accompanying any dessert.
