Characteristics of Eric Texier Adele
Eric Texier Adele is a white wine made from Clariette sometimes accompanied by a little Marsanne. It is produced by Eric Texier and belongs to the AOC Côtes du Rhone.
Eric Texier is a vigneron who settled in Brézème, in the northern area of the Rhone. Eric previously worked in nuclear engineering but switched to the world of wine in the early 1990s. He practices minimal viticulture and oenology, and pays special attention to the management of the soils of his vineyards.
The vineyards for Eric Texier Adele are between 5 and 40 years old and are based on clay-calcareous soils, with quartz and granite stones. They produce approximately 30 hectolitres per hectare.
The bunches for Eric Texier Adele are pressed whole when they arrive in the cellar, and ferment in cement tanks. Once prepared, the wine ages for about 8 months on its fine lees. No sulphites have been added during the process.
Eric Texier Adele is a carefree wine that has adopted the name of Adèle Blanc-Sec, a fictional French character.
