Characteristics of Entreflores Verdejo
Entreflores Verdejo is a white wine from the Rueda region produced by the Príncipe de Viana winery. It is made using only Verdejo (100%) grapes. The grapes that are used to make Entreflores Verdejo come from selected vineyards that are over 25 years old.
The harvest takes place in september and is carried out manually. The grapes are selected on their ripeness and state of health. Once they have arrived at the winery, they are crushed and destemmed. The must is obtained through a light pressing. After a process called debourbage is performed before finally undergoing alcoholic fermentation at a low temperature.
The D.O. Rueda is a denomination spanning across Castilla y León, along the River Duero and its tributaries. It is mainly white wines that are produced in this D.O., and Verdejo grapes are by far the most popular variety. With hints of flowers, fruit, scrub herbs and very fine aromas, these grapes give the wine a very strong personality.
