Characteristics of El Terrerazo Vino de Pago
Finca Terrerazo is a red wine from Terrerazo produced by the Mustiquillo winery.
This is a winery located in the Terrerazo-Utiel (Valencia) that has 87ha of vineyards in Terrerazo, a terroir that is known for its uniqueness, and has, since 2010, been given the privilege of being a new PDO (Protected Designation of Origin)
Finca Terrerazo is 100% made from Bobal variety, a native variety that the winery has tried to recover. The grapes come from old vines between 40 and 65 years in low production vineyards.
The vineyards are planted on limestone soils of dolomitic origin at an altitude of between 800 and 824m. For cultivation, an ecological viticulture is used.
A traditional winemaking is performed to produce this wine. After a complete stripping and mild pressing of the grape, the wine is fermented in oak vats of 35hl for 8-10 days. Subsequently, a post-fermentation maceration takes place for 12-16 days.
Finally Finca Terrerazo spends 21 months aging in French oak barrels.
Finca Terrerazo wants to express the peculiarities of a unique terroir, which has managed to become a DO of its own.

The winery is located in Mustiguillo Caves Utiel since 1999 are dedicated to quality wines. The estate has 90 ha. at a height of between 800 and 900 meters. The variety is grown predominantly bobal also including merlot, syrah, grenache shark, cabernet sauvignon and tempranillo.
