El Hombre Bala Albillo is an Albillo variety white wine made in the D.O. Vinos de Madrid by Uvas Felices in collaboration with the Comando G winery.
Uvas Felices is a Vilaviniteca project with support from renowned wineries in the different Spanish wine regions. For this wine, they worked with Comando G, a winery located in the Sierra de Gredos where the team made up of Fernando García from Bodegas Marañones and Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi from Bodegas Daniel Landi work together to express the essence of each plot in each of their wines.
El Hombre Bala Albillo comes from a selection of old vines aged over 60 years and located in the Madrid town of Cadalso de los Vidrios. These vines lie near the Sierra de Gredos, at an altitude of between 900 and 1,000 metres above sea level and planted on granite soil. They are cultivated using respectful agriculture following organic and biodynamic guidelines and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the grapes used to make El Hombre Bala Albillo cold-macerate for 24 hours. The whole bunches are then pressed and the resulting must spontaneously ferments with native yeasts for three weeks. Finally, the wine is left to rest in used French oak barrels for 6 months.
El Hombre Bala Albillo is a faithful reflection of the character and personality of a wine-growing area that is getting more popular by the day. A white wine with bright freshness and acidity.
