Ekam is a white wine from Costers de Segre produced by Castell d'Encús. This winery is located in the town of Talarn (Lleida).
Ekam is the work of the oenologist Raül Bobet, the creator of the popular red wine from Priorat, Ferrer Bobet.
Ekam is made from the Albariño and Riesling varieties. The grapes come from vineyards planted at an altitude of between 850 and 1000m altitude on Franco-calcareous soils low in organic matter.
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in 10kg boxes. For processing a traditional vinification is done, the wine is fermentated in vats of 25Hl at a low temperature.
A pale yellow colour with hints of olive green. Very bright and clean.Nose Aromatic intensity and complexity. The fruit becomes more intense over the time and the notes of citrus and very fleshy and ripe stone fruit dominate the nose. When it opens up, very elegant floral notes are released. All these notes are noticed on a mineral background that becomes increasingly more intense. Taste Very good, wide and embracing attack. Fruity and delicious wine, with a glyceric touch and a marked acidity that provides it with freshness. Long finish with a good persistence that leaves nice spicy and minerals aromas. Very fresh, very tasty and very different.
Very bright pale yellow colour.Nose Deep fruity aromas of minerals, with hints of fleshy fruit and a touch of phosphorus. Taste Complex, fatty and tasty palate in which its strong acidity is highlighted. Reminiscent of lime and green lemon, this wine has a long finish.
