Characteristics of Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas
Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas is a red wine from the D.O. Toro made with the Tinta de Toro variety in Dominio del Bendito.
The Dominio del Bendito winery was founded in 2004 by the young Frenchman Antony Terryn, who found his place in Toro after travelling through the best wine-producing areas in the world. The winery has 13 hectares of own vineyards, plus 15 hectares that are managed from very close by with a great respect for the natural environment. In the winery the minimum intervention is sought after in order to obtain the maximum expression of the terroirs.
Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas comes from vines that are between 70 and 100 years old, planted in sandy soil and limestone. These are dry-area vineyards planted in traditional bush-style and treated with organic products. The harvest is carried out manually.
In the cellar Dominio del Bendito The Cuesta de las Musas ferments and macerates for 28 days in small concrete tanks. It undergoes ageing in French oak barrels for a minimum of 22 months.
Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas is a red wine created from the soul of terroirs of old vines.

Tasting notes Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas
Dominio del Bendito La Cuesta de las Musas 2014 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of red and black fruit, roasted touches and a floral base note. On the palate it is elegant with a silky tannin and great complexity.
In Toro, the red wines are mainly made with the Tinta de Toro grape variety, planted on soils of fluvial origin by the influence of the Duero River and its tributaries, grown on poor, sandy and dry soils the further away you move from the river. Toro offers powerful wines, well bodied, flavourful, complex, and tannic. Although on a smaller scale, the region also produces white wines using the Verdejo and Malvasía varieties. Since the ´80’s, Toro has experienced a revival in its wines, thanks to a new generation of highly skilled winemakers and the installation of many big names in the region, such as Pintia, a winery belonging to the Vega Sicília group, or Teso la Monja, part of Sierra Cantabria.
The winery Dominio del Bendito, born in 2004 specifically for the hand of a Frenchman, Anthony Terryon, which participates in the entire wine production process. It belongs to the DO of Toro, which for him is the best grapes in the world. Its development has ecological characteristics. The latest creation of the domain responsible for the Blessed One, and probably his most bizarre development, is a wine of straw, a white made from raisins dried on hurdles for several months. The result is a broth of great consistency, very balanced and with a perfect combination of concepts such as acidity, flavor and alcohol.
