Domaine l'Iserand Clos de Vaches is a single-variety Syrah red wine produced by Domaine l'Iserand in the Vin de France denomination, in the Rhône, France.

 

Clos de Vaches is a family plot that borders the AOC Saint-Joseph. It has soils composed of granite and is home to young vines planted in 2014. The whole harvest is vinified and the wine is made without using any additives. Following fermentation, which takes place spontaneously, the resulting wine undergoes an aging process in both amphorae and used oak barrels.

 

Jean-François Malsert masterfully produces natural wines like this Domaine l'Iserand Clos de Vaches, an extremely limited production Syrah red that is remarkably pure and deep. Its honesty is a journey into the soul of the northern Rhône.
