Domaine Des Marnes Blanches Trousseau is a natural red wine made by Domaine Des Marnes Blanches in the AOC Côtes du Jura denomination (Jura) using the Trousseau variety.
The Domaine Des Marnes Blanches winery is located in the heart of Jura, in a small town called Sainte-Agnès. Its owners, the young winemaking couple Pauline and Géraud Frémont, took over the 10-hectare estate in 2006 with a commitment to continuing the winemaking tradition, reinterpreting traditional knowledge and highlighting the qualities of Jura’s varieties and terroirs.
Their devotion to Jura’s varieties and characteristic loam and stone terroir can be seen in the vineyard. The Domaine Des Marnes Blanches Trousseau wine is made with certified organic grapes. They do all their work in an environmentally friendly way, using organic products, pruning to limit yield and manual harvesting.
Domaine Des Marnes Blanches Trousseau is vinified in whole clusters and by plots. They use soft pressing with infusion instead of extraction followed by spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. No sulphur is added and homeopathic doses are used. It is then put in oak barrels until bottling.
Domaine Des Marnes Blanches Trousseau is a very mineral and well structured natural red wine that shows the best of the Trousseau grape, Jura’s flagship native variety.
