Domaine des Lises Equinoxe Sans Soufre Crozes-Hermitage is a single-variety organic red wine made with Syrah by Domaine des Lises under the A.O.C. Crozes-Hermitage in the Rhone Valley, France.
The grapes used to make Domaine des Lises Equinoxe Sans Soufre Crozes-Hermitage come from plots in Pont de L'Isère grown using respectful agriculture, with minimal intervention and no herbicides or pesticides. The clusters are destemmed and vinified through a simple carbonic maceration, and later fermented in concrete tanks and tapered wooden vats where they also age for about 15 months. This wine is made without adding sulphites.
The Graillot family, headed by Alain Graillot, are leading producers of great wines in Crozes-Hermitage, as well as being famous for their accessible and fruit-filled Syrah reds.
Maxime Graillot, who directs Domaine des Lises, follows in his father’s footsteps and spent time training in Burgundy and South Africa. He is a winemaking master who runs his operation using organic agriculture. This particular wine of his is the sulphite-free version of his well-known Domaine des Lises Equinoxe Crozes-Hermitage wine.
