Characteristics of Descregut Brut Nature Reserva

Descregut is an ecological cava Brut Nature Reserva from Cava produced by the Can Descregut winery. It is a blend of Xarelo, Macabeo and Parellada.

The vines are treated with organic farming certified by the Catalan Council of Ecological Agricultural Production (CCPA).

The grapes are manually harvested to prevent premature oxidation prior to pressing. Aging takes place in cellars for at least 24 months and no sugars are added to the product during disgorgement.

The Can Descregut winery has three main qualities: it is in Penedes, it is careful and ecological.

Tasting notes Descregut Brut Nature Reserva

Sight Yellow with golden highlights, a persistent string of fine bubbles. Nose Aromas of ripe fruit and pastries. Taste Good acidity and fruity flavour combined with a texture and creaminess that gives amplitude.
Sight Pale yellow in colour with golden highlights, fine and constant bubbles. Nose Notes of bakery goods and ripe fruit. Taste Its correct ageing allows us to enjoy the fruit and initial acidity, as well as the creamy texture, which adds breadth and complexity.

Winery Can Descregut

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
