Characteristics of Corimbo
Corimbo is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Bodegas La Horra.
This wine is made with Tinta del País (100%) grapes from vineyards in the estates of La Horra and Roa (Burgos), with an average vine age of 20 years old. The wine is made in wooden vats and stainless steel deposits. It ages for 14 months in French and American oak barrels.
SightA lively picota cherry colour with a red rim. High robe.NoseGood intensity with red and black fruit, mainly cherries and blackberries. The wood is very well integrated, respecting the fruit, and bringing a very nice creamy note. Aromatic plants typical of the surroundings are felt, the types that are smelt at dusk in the summer, pine, rockrose, lavender and marjoram.TasteGood volume, with ripe, but still fresh fruit present. Very fine tannins predict a silky evolution. The fruits appear in the mouth with the fresh feeling of the ripe cherries and blackberries. This long wine shows the Riberal del Duero's landscape in Burgos in an excellent vintage, marked by warm summer but with glints of freshness of red fruits.
Balanced, elegant and refined. Well blended aromas and flavours create a truly enjoyable sensation.
