Characteristics of Conde Siruela Roble
Conde Siruela Roble is a red wine from Ribera del Duero produced by the Frutos Villar winery, founded in 1920. In 1988 the Frutos Villar winery acquired a winery in Ribera del Duero, the winery of Santa Eulalia, the first winery to produce Conde Siruela Roble.
The climate in the Ribera del Duero has a Mediterranean yet continental character, characterized by a rigorous low-moderate rainfall, dry summers and long winters with fluctuations throughout the seasons. This wine is made from grapes of the Tempranillo variety (100 %) from 200 hectares of vineyards cultivated by the 51 growers involved in this project. As for the process, traditional barrelling is performed in stainless steel tanks. The wort is fermented for 10-12 days in controlled temperatures of 25-27 ° C. After this, malolactic fermentation is carried out. Finally, Conde Siruela Roble remains for 3-4 months in American oak barrels.
