Characteristics of Conde de los Andes Blanco
Conde de los Andes Blanco is a white wine from the D.O. La Rioja produced by Bodegas Ollauri. It is a single-variety Viura.
The grapes come from areas surrounding the locations of the winery: Ollauri, Haro and Briñas, all of which are located in Rioja Alta. The area's climate is continental, although there is an intense Atlantic influence. The soils of the vineyard are around 30 years old, and are made up of clay and limestone, providing the wine with optimum acidity.
After the harvest period, the grape ferments on its lees for three months in new fine-grain French oak barrels. During production, they carry out several weekly processes to remove the lees and give volume to the final product.
Conde de los AndesBlanco finally rests for half a year in the same barrels where fermentation was carried out.
