Com Tu is a red wine produced by the winery Clos Mogador in Gratallops, D.O.Montsant.

 

Com Tu is the smallest of L’Espectacle, a project by René Barbier with his son Anderson Barbier. Anderson, in love with the area of La Figuera and its potential, alongside the possibility of starting this adventure with his father, decided to make his first wine and enter the world of wine successfully.

La Figuera is an area that is 100% dedicated to the Grenache, both old and young vines. It is located between 500 and 600 metres of altitude in a very cool area, with calcareous, white and red clay soils.

Com tu is a tribute to all those people, no matter their colour, sex, appearance. Disabled or not, with money or without, with education or vocation...

A tribute reflected in the ambiguity of the label, designed by a great artist, his mother Isabel.

 

Com tu is a wine made from 100% Grenache, from a vineyard called Miramar, right next to L'Espectacle, situated in a very cool area, La Figuera.

Miramar is located at around 580 metres of altitude, on white and red clay soils, and white calcareous ground, with vines that are between 35 and 50 years old, and some of the even 100 years. They share their surroundings with apple trees, almond trees and a small country house.

Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they ferment in wooden foudres, where they remain for 18 months.

The total production is of 3000 bottles.

 

Com Tu is an expressive, concentrated and fresh wine. Its long ageing in foudres has given it complexity, highlighting its minerality and the aromas of red fruit with notes of orange peel. A worthy descendant of the great L'Espectacle.

    Winery Clos Mogador

    Montsant is situated in the province of Tarragona, surrounding the DOQ Priorat. Although a young Denominación de Origen, Monstant is located in a land with a large history in winemaking. The wines, mostly reds, are typically made with Grenache and Carignan grapes and are authentic, wild and artisanal. Wines produced in this region are usually extremely good value given the high quality.

    Clos Mogador is René Barbier, a pleasant man and passionate about wine, he lives in the past and the future as he does in the present. The history of the winery as well as the wines themselves are a faithful reflection of himself. Having been in the industry for many years, Barbier was one of the pioneers of the revival of the Priorat region, when in 1979 he bet successfully for this difficult area when others ignored it, founding his current winery Clos Mogador in the vicinity of Gratallops.
