Characteristics of Clos Lentiscus Kikiriki Tinto
Clos Lentiscus Kikiriki Tinto is a natural, ecological and vegan young red wine made by Clos Lentiscus in Penedès with the Tempranillo and Cariñena varieties.
Clos Lentiscus is a family estate located in the Garraf Natural Park (Barcelona). This is where Manel Avinyó manually cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards with his horse Ringo and has revived the family winery to produce cheerful and generous wines that are faithful to their terroir and to the Xarel·lo, Malvasía de Sitges and Sumoll native varieties.
Clos Lentiscus Kikiriki Tinto comes from vines planted in sandy and calcareous soils and surrounded by lush Mediterranean forest. The vines are cultivated using organic agriculture and no chemical products, instead opting for biodynamic treatments that maintain the natural balance of the terroir. The two varieties are harvested together at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Clos Lentiscus Kikiriki Tinto grapes are first gently squeezed and then spontaneously fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine stays there for 8 months. Finally the wine is bottled without adding sulphites.
Clos Lentiscus Kikiriki Tinto is a fragrant and light young red, made through the most careful biodynamic agriculture. A vivid reflection of the cheerful and generous character of its creator.
