Claire Naudin Le Clou 34 is a natural, ecological and vegan white wine aged on lees made with the Aligoté variety in Burgundy (Vin de France) by Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand.
Located in the village of Magny-lès-Villers (Hautes-Côtes), Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand lies in an exceptional location. A total of 22 hectares of vineyards with prestigious plots that have been managed by the intrepid winemaker Claire Naudin since 1994. Through sustainable winemaking practices and rejecting standardisation, she makes wines with the most original style and personality.
Claire Naudin Le Clou 34 comes from five different plots with vines aged over 60 years old, planted in clay-calcareous and quite shallow soils. Ecological and organic agriculture is practiced and chemicals are avoided at all times. The yield is limited and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
When the Claire Naudin Le Clou 34 grapes reach the winery, they are pressed whole and no sulphites are added. Spontaneous fermentation then begins with native yeasts and the wine finally goes through a long aging process on its lees.
Although the variety is typical of the area, this Claire Naudin Le Clou 34 is an unusual Aligoté. A complex, powerful and very expressive white.
