Characteristics of Carmelo Rodero TSM
Carmelo Rodero TSM is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by BodegaCarmelo Rodero. Sticking to the family tradition, Carmelo Rodero started cultivating his family's vineyards but after a few years he decided to stand on his own two feet and founded Bodegas Rodero in 1990.
This wine is made with Tinta del País (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Merlot (15%) grapes from the winery's vineyards that are over 40 years old. The wine is made in the traditional way by monitoring the phenolic compounds and temperature during fermentation and maceration. Finally, this wine ages for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels of less than 2 years of age.

Coming from a family of wine growers in the coastal village of Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos, Carmelo Rodero belongs to the fourth generation of winemakers. His grandparents produced wine in the classic and antique presses, until the founding of the Cooperativa Vinícola de Pedrosa de Duero, in which their grandparents were founders.
