Callejuela Blanco de Hornillos is a white wine produced by the winery Callejuela in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz.
Callejuela was founded in 1980 by Francisco Romero Blanco. He started making musts in small facilities and selling them to larger wineries in the area. Today, the winery has 28 hectares of vines and 700 butts where their wines are aged. Their philosophy lies within the vineyard: good ageing is only achieved with good grapes.
Callejuela Blanco de Hornillos is a wine without denomination of origin, produced with Palomino from their own vineyards, planted on albariza soils, typical of the area. Harvest and winemaking are performed traditionally, without ageing, to show the virtues of the base wine they use to produce their typical Sherry wines.
Callejuela Blanco de Hornillos is an incredibly expressive wine, refreshing and very dry. A delightful contrast of ripe white fruit and salty notes, characteristic of the area.
