Characteristics of Brunus
Brunus is a red wine from the appellation of origin (D.O) Montsant produced by the winery Portal del Montsant.
Brunus is produced from the varieties Cariñena, GarnachaTinta and Syrah. The grapes originate from vines that are between 20 and 50 years old, planted on slopes at an altitude of 300 to 700 meters above sea level. The fields are located in the towns of Bellmunt, El Molar and Lloa.
The harvest is conducted manually in boxes that can carry up to 16kg.
For production, the wine is produced by using tradition winemaking techniques. The fermentation is carried out in French and American oak barrels of different capacities. The ageing of the wine is completed using the same barrels for a duration of 10 months.
