Bruno Rochard Petit Clou is an organic and natural red wine made with the Cabernet Franc variety in the Loire (France) by Domaine de Mirebeau.
When settling in Rablay-sur-Layon, in the fantastic Domaine de Mirebeau, Bruno Rochard took on 6 hectares of vineyards planted with Chenin, Cabernet Franc and Grolleau and began to transform them into ecological vineyards with Ecocert certification. As a result, he produces original and very expressive wines through minimal intervention.
Bruno Rochard Petit Clou comes from Cabernet Franc vines aged between 40 and 50 years old and planted in clay, silt and sand soils. The vines are meticulously cared for, using organic and biodynamic treatments instead of chemical products. The harvest is carried out manually in small boxes at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Bruno Rochard Petit Clou grapes macerate for 10 days, without punch downs but with regular pomace pump overs. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and finally the wine ages in stainless steel tanks before being bottled without filtering or adding sulphites.
Bruno Rochard Petit Clou is a masterpiece of one of the most renowned natural wine enologists in the Loire. A magnificent Cabernet Franc vintage expression.
