Bruno Rochard Grains de Folie Pet Nat is an ecological and natural sparkling wine made by Domaine de Mirebeau in the Loire area (France) with the Chenin Blanc variety.
In 1998, renowned winemaker Bruno Rochard took over the Mirebeau family estate in Loire. A 9-hectare vineyard that had been traditionally cultivated, but when Bruno took over the estate, he began working organically with the aim of getting the maximum expression of the soil in native varieties like Chenin, Cabernet Franc and Grolleau Noir.
Bruno Rochard Grains de Folie Pet Nat comes from vines with an average age of 39 years, planted in clay soils with pebbles and a limited yield of 38 hl / ha. The team use organic cultivation, avoiding the use of chemicals, additives and technology and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Bruno Rochard Grains de Folie Pet Nat is made using the ancient method. This involves spontaneous vinification and early bottling, before fermentation has finished. The wine is not filtered, no sulphur is added and 3 to 5 gr / l of residual sugars are added.
Bruno Rochard Grains de Folie Pet Nat is a sulphite-free “pet-nat” that showcases the Chenin variety in a bright, fresh and sweet way.
