Characteristics of Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Bankett
Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Bankett is a young Grüner Veltliner variety white wine made in Kamptal by the Bründlmayer winery.
Located about 70 km northeast of Vienna, Weingut Bründlmayer is a family winery founded in 1581 and a flagship winery in Austria. With the help of Willi Bründlmayer, the 70 hectares of vineyards planted on sunny terraces and protected from the cold north winds have been cultivated using sustainable and organic agriculture in recent years. This has resulted in a wide selection of fresh wines that are very easy to drink.
Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Bankett comes from the highest and coolest vineyards in the winery, located at an altitude of between 260 and 380 metres above sea level. They are planted on stony and light soil with the location making the grapes are lighter. The vineyards are cultivated using organic and sustainable practices, without any chemical fertilisers or herbicides. The grapes are manually harvested and placed in small boxes.
In the winery Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Bankett ferments at a rather cold temperature in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. It is bottled early to conserve the carbonic acid.
Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Bankett is a dry, versatile white that is an ideal place to start when getting to know the wines made with the most traditional white variety in Austria.
