Characteristics of Bracamonte Roble

Bracamonte Roble is a red wine produced by the Yllera winery in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. This wine is made exclusively with the Tinta del País variety, the name given to the Tempranillo grape in the region.

The grapes used for Bracamonte Roble come from vineyards that are between 20 and 30 years old. The grapes under a selection process at both the vineyard and the winery. The harvest is carried out manually. Before the winemaking process begins, the grapes are destemmed.

The winemaking process for Bracamonte Roble begins with alcoholic fermentation in concrete coated tanks at a controlled temperature of 28ºC. The must undergoes several daily pumpings, with the aim of obtaining the optimum colour and extraction of the grape. Malolactic fermentation, which is the final stop before the final ageing, takes place in stainless steel tanks.

Bracamonte Roble is then aged for sixth months in French (from Allier) and American oak barrels. The wine is then decanted into tanks, where it is clarified and stabilized, and is then refined in the bottle for another half a year. The Yllera group was founded in 1970 and acquired the Bracamonte winery in 1986.
