Characteristics of Bozeto de Exopto
Bozeto de Exopto is a D.O. Rioja red wine by Bodegas Exopto. This wine is a coupage of Garnacha (50%), Tempranillo (30%), and Graciano (20%) varieties. The grapes come from vines that are 50 years old on average. The harvest takes place manually in 12 kg boxes. The grapes ferment in concrete tanks at a low temperature. The wine macerates for 15 days and ages for six months in concrete and oak tanks.

La Rioja is one of the most important areas of wine production in the world. It has a long history, and exceptional soils and climates. From the Tempranillo and Grenache varieties they make great red wines that are masterfully aged which demonstrates the experience passed from generation to generation.
Bodegas Exopto is the project of a Frenchman from Bordeaux, Tom Puyaubert, a barrel seller passionate of La Rioja, its vineyards and its culture. The main idea of his project is based on making different wines within the historic context of Rioja: wines with more colour and freshness, with better expression of the fruit, and with a finer adaptation of the oak. It is the perfect evidence of a complex balance between modernity and tradition, where the balanced assemblages of the traditional red varieties of Rioja, Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache, comprise the expression of his wines.
