New wines this October at Decántalo

A few weeks have passed as if by magic and now we are completely in October. As usual, this is the perfect opportunity to recover some new wines from the last 30 days that have made out wide selection of Spanish wine swell.

Do not miss this new selection of vintages and wine references which are now available on our website. You will love them!

He·Ma 2012 We start our selection by welcoming to Decántalo the winery Mas de la Abundancia, from D.O. Monstant, which brings a very interesting He•Ma 2012. A coupage of garnacha, cariñena and Cabernet Sauvignon; concentrated and juicy. A great find!

Viña Arana Reserva 2006. A new vintage which is a Rioja essential. Viña Arana 2006 from Bodegas La Rioja Alta presents a year of offering this type of Rioja at a very competitive price.

Termes 2011. We have travelled to the Denomination of Origin Toro to introduce the new vintage from the small Bodegas Numanthia. Strong, concentrated, powerful but full of nobility. High expectations for this new 2011 vintage, rated as excellent from this D.O.

Mas d’en Compte Blanc 2010. This is the perfect time to talk about white wines and give thanks to the arrival on the market of this new white vintage from Celler Cal Pla. A coupage if white garnacha, macabeu and picapoll. Creamy, broad, long…with a mineral hint that is very typical for wines from Priorat.

Macán Clásico 2010 New vintage from Macán, the joint project of Vega Sicilia and Benjamin de Rothschild in D.O. Rioja, and one of the sensations of the year in 2013. A wine with very limited production. Do not wait to get one of these bottles!

As Sortes 2013 We dive right into D.O. Valdeorras, ´Godello terrirtory´, to introduce the new vintage that is always spectacular As Sortes from the Rafael Palacios winery. Without doubt one of the best white wines that is currently produced in Spain.

Clos Mogador 2012. Again we have travelled to Priorat to present the new vintage of one of the most emblematic wines: Clos Mogador. A red wine with an evolution in the cup; changing and emotional. You should take the time to drink it.

Algueira Brandán 2013 We travelled to the Ribeira Sacra to present this new vintage of 100% Godello from vineyards planted on the Banks of the River Sil. Terraces with slopes and gradients of 85%. A ripe, sweet wine that shows more of a sensual side to the variety.

Tantum Ergo Brut Nature Pinot Noir Rosado 2012. New vintage of one of the best rosé cavas from Spain, curiously, it is not produced in Catalonia, but in Requena (Valencia). Tantum Ergo Pinot Noir is a cava with soul. Deep fruit flavours and wonderful creaminess. Not to be missed.

Godelia Viernes 2012. Our last pick of the month comes from Bierzo with very clear intentions, as its name suggests. A fresh and casual Mencia, easy to drink. An uncomplicated wine but very, very correct and perfect to enjoy in good times and in good company.
