July News at Decántalo

We’re already in July and, as always, we bring you ten new wines for sale on our website this month.

We’ve got a wide selection of new vintages and this month’s other latest additions that you can’t afford to miss out on. Take advantage of these offers!

Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2010: July brings with it the arrival of an all new vintage of Marqués de Riscal Reserva. The 2010 vintage was deemed an excellent DOCa Rioja wine. That’s one more reason to get yourself a bottle of this complex and well-rounded classic from La Rioja.

Las Gravas 2010: Same vintage, different character. Let’s travel to the D.O. Jumilla to celebrate the arrival of Las Gravas 2010. The makers of this coupage of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah have good reason to celebrate – Robert Parker just graced their new vintage with no less than 94 Parker points!

Fillaboa 2013: The onset of summer coincides with the release of one of our favourite whites: Fillaboa 2013. This elegant and intense Albariño is deep and tantalizing on the palate, with an expressive nose. A must have.

Emilio Valerio Viña de San Martín 2011: The June issue of The Wine Advocate has an great article on wines from Navarra, in which the always-interesting San Martín 2011 is mentioned. A fleshy, warm Garnacha accompanied by a touch of Tempranillo. 93 Parker points for one of the most interesting wines in the D.O. Navarra.

Quinta de Tarsus Crianza 2011: A new vintage of this vibrant crianza from bodega Tarsus made under the D.O. Ribera del Duero. A good balance of fruit and wood notes and a wine that never ceases to impress.

Ladredo 2009: Last month we expanded our selection of wines from the Ribeira Sacra D.O., one of the most internationally recognised designations of origin. Ladredo 2009 is a perfect example of this. This beauty is made from Mencía and Garnacha grapes farmed on the hillside of the River Sil. You absolutely need to try it.

Parotet 2011: Let’s take a look at the D.O. Valencia and this rather interesting wine from Celler del Roure. Parotet 2011 is a coupage of Monastrell and Mandó that ferments on wild lees, and that later undergoes malolactic fermentation in clay jars. What a pleasant surprise!

Cullerot 2011: We bring to you the wines of Celler del Roure. This time, let’s take a look at this white, a coupage of Chardonnay, Pedro Ximénez, Verdil and Macabeo. It ferments in clay jars underground. A return to the roots and tradition, with 91 Parker points.

Clos Martinet 2011: Let’s take a moment to introduce the 2011 vintage of one of the greatest wines of the DOCa Priorat: Clos Martinet. This great wine leaves a good impression with anyone who tries it. Silky, spiced, mineral, and full of notes.  We only have words of praise for it.

Lapola 2012: We end this list with a new vintage of another great Spanish white. Lapola 2012, of the Bodega Dominio de Bibei is a coupage of Godello, Albariño and Doña Blanca that ages for eight months in standard oak and “fudres” barrels. Rich, expressive and intense. A real luxury!
