Latest wines: new wines at Decántalo June 2018

June is here and the nice weather has finally arrived. While everyone is thinking about their holidays, the beach, the terraces… we continue to do our own thing. We continue touring all corners of the Spanish geography, attending all the fairs, meeting different and genuine people, small and large winemakers, with the sole purpose of discovering new wines and taking the opportunity to surprise you. Here we leave you with the latest additions at Decántalo. They will certainly not go unnoticed.

Williams Colección de Añadas Fino Ecológico 2015: Williams & Humbert goes ahead of everyone lese and launches the new organic fino wine from D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, a fino wine made with Palomino from the Farm of Burujena, a farm with a very limited production.

Vardon Kennett EsplendorBodegas Torres has created a small winery in the north of Penedés to produce exclusively high-quality sparkling wines. Esplendor is the first one, a sparkling wine with a long ageing, creamy and elegant, made with the soul of the author.

Sang de Corb 2015: From the heart of Terra Alta comes the flagship of Celler Frisach. A wine with character and all the typicity of the area. A wine dedicated to all the people who fought and suffered in the Battle of the Ebro, which commemorates its 80-year anniversary next July.

Pegaso Zeta 2015: The latest from Telmo Rodríguez in Sierra de Gredos. Old Grenache vines planted on hillsides on granite floors result in an amiable and very accessible wine. A perfect first step to discover the wines of this interesting area.

Mauro 2016: New and much awaited vintage of this classic  byMariano García. True to its style, it still perfectly represents local wines, wines with a lot of character, personality and great ageing potential.

Herencia Altés Rosat Especial 2017: New rosé wine from one of the young wineries that everyone is talking about in the national wine scene. This time, Núria Altés gives us a delicate, subtle and very Mediterranean rosé wine. A delight you will not want to stop drinking.

Flor de Muga Rosado 2017: We were anxious to taste the new vintage of this gem of La Rioja. A premium rosé wine with subtlety and freshness. A delicacy that accompanies us perfectly at any time of the day.

Pazo Casanova 2016: From the heart of Galicia we receive this magnificent Ribeiro wine. A single-vineyard wine or ‘vino de finca’ made with local varieties, where the Treixadura is the main variety from the area. A creamy wine with density, with a final freshness that makes it very long.

Quíbia 2017: The white wine of Ánima Negra. Miquel Àngel Cerdà and Pere Obrador captivate us year after year with this magnificent wine made mainly with Callet (a red grape variety from the island). A wine that expresses itself with subtlety on the nose, expressing the Mediterranean character in the mouth. One of the great wines of Mallorca.

Els Bassots 2016Joan Ramón has done it once again. New vintage of this Chenin wine, which reveals the essence of the variety and shows us the purity of the landscape where this magnificent grape grows.
