Blanc Pescador Premium is a semi-sparkling wine made with Xarel·lo and Chardonnay grapes, from the D.O. Empordá produced by the Castillo de Peralada Castle winery.
The Castillo de Perelada winery was founded in 1976, although the castle was acquired by the Suqué Mateu family in 1923. Installed in the castle itself, it embraces a winemaking tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. Castillo de Perelada is a winery that produces an extensive and complete line of wines.
Blanc Pescador Premium is made with 55% Xarel·lo and 45% Chardonnay varieties. A quarter of the Chardonnay has aged in barrels for 2 months, and this gives it a little more body and sophistication. The second fermentation, which gives the wine its semi-sparkling quality, is carried out by means of the Charmat method, in an isobaric tank. It is bottled so that the wine has a pressure of 2.5 bars.
Blanc Pescador Premium is the most sophisticated version of the mythical Blanc Pescador semi-sparkling wine.
