Characteristics of Bladnoch 10 years
Bladnoch 10 Year Old is a whisky from the Bladnoch distillery that is part of the Flora & Fauna collection, comprising 26 different single malt Scotch whiskies. This range has been discontinued and each bottle is unique.
The Bladoch distillery was founded in 1817 and has changed management various times in the past century. It closed from 1938 to 1956, when the distillation team was sent to Sweden. It was also owned by the Inver House (1973-1983), who sold it to Arthur Bell & Sons Plc, only to later be acquired by United Distillers. The distillery closed in 1993, and one year later, Raymond Armstrong bought the distillery in order to open a visitor's centre. In 2000, he convinced Diageo to start production again. Although the distillery does not carry out triple distillation on its whiskies, it produces a single malt whisky that is typical of the Netherlands. The Bladnoch distillery continues to change hands to this day.
